About us

Mission

Our mission is simple: to create a community-first general store that blends fresh coffee, ice cream, a welcoming deli, local provisions, and outdoor essentials. We proudly support local farmers and artisans while offering a curated selection of healthy, zero sugar, and alcohol-free beverages for the sober-conscious and the simply curious.

This store isn’t just about goods on shelves — it’s about connection. Whether you’re a neighbor, a traveler, a hiker, or a biker, Round Hill Farm to Trail Co. is here as your trailhead for gathering, recharging, and finding a sense of belonging.

Farm to Trail Story

For 25 years, I proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard, culminating my career as a Captain. My path was built on leadership, service, and resilience — from responding to oil spills, search and rescue cases, and natural disasters to shaping national policy on marine environmental response. Along the way, I had the honor of leading teams in high-pressure, high-stakes environments where the mission was always bigger than any one person: protect lives, safeguard the environment, and serve our nation.

That chapter taught me what it means to be accountable, to care deeply about people and community, and to never shy away from a challenge. It also taught me that the most meaningful work isn’t just about the mission — it’s about the people you serve alongside and the communities you serve for.

Now retired from active duty, I’m beginning a new chapter of service here in Round Hill. Farm to Trail Co. is my way of continuing that mission — but instead of a response mission, it’s coffee, ice cream, deli sandwiches, local provisions, and a welcoming space for neighbors, travelers, hikers, and bikers alike.

This store is built on the same values that guided me in uniform: service before self, attention to detail, and a relentless belief in partnerships. By sourcing from local farms and artisans, offering healthy living choices (including zero-sugar and alcohol-free options for the sober-conscious and the simply curious), and creating a space where people feel they belong, I want this to be more than just a general store. I want it to be a trailhead for connection, adventure, and community pride.

I put my soul into my Coast Guard career. Now I’m putting that same dedication into building something lasting for Round Hill with my wife and kids by side for support!
